The square princess cut Tourmaline is in the Dravite family, which produces Tourmaline in rare orange and brown shades. These are known for their pleochroism which means that the gem flashes multiple colors from different angles: browns, golds, oranges and reds, all combined to look like the finest Cognac. The gem was faceted by American lapidary John Dyer who is known for his gemstone artistry. We set this gem in a custom made rose gold basket style head with three prongs on each corner of the gem which is set on point for an interesting look.
