R & Y Augousti are husband and wife duo, Riya and Yiouri Augousti. Most of their designs feature the use of stingray or shagreen, like our desk. Shagreen use had declined after the Art Deco era and the Augoustis played a big part in its revival in modern furniture. Besides shagreen, their pieces of furniture feature eel skin, snake skin, coconut shell and semi-precious stones.
