Description Radio frequency identification (RFID) Proximity Cards – EM4200 RFID Proximity Cards – EM4200 stands for radio-frequency identification. RFID cards are used in  tracking or identifying personnel or access control. Today, they use various RFID frequency bands. They include 125 kHz low-frequency proximity, 13.56 MHz high-frequency smart card, and 860-960 MHz ultra-high frequency (UHF). Proximity cards and smart cards are often referred to simply as “RFID cards.” The type of RFID frequency band used depends on the application, factoring in security level, read range, and data transfer speed requirements. Applications The RFID Proximity ID cards are 1K byte HF (13.56 MHz) PVC cards with separate sectors for more secure applications. They have applications in Public transportation, Access control, Event ticketing, Gaming & identity. RFID stands for radio-frequency identification. Applicable in tracking or identifying personnel or access control. The cards use various RFID frequency bands, including 125 kHz low-frequency proximity, 13.56 MHz high-frequency smart card, and 860-960 MHz ultra-high frequency (UHF). Proximity cards and smart cards are often referred to simply as “RFID cards.” The type of RFID frequency band used depends on the application, factoring in security level, read range, and data transfer speed requirements. Technical properties and how RFID card works If the physical properties define an RFID card – EM4200 out of an RFID tag, it is the technical attributes of the RFID card that make it unique from other card-shaped products. In simple, every RFID card has an antenna that connects to an RFID IC. Hence, it can receive, store, and transmit data via radio waves. RFID cards usually use passive RFID technology without an internal power source. The RFID card uses electromagnetic energy transmitted from the RFID reader. There are four categories of RFID cards based on the difference between frequencies. Low Frequency at 125KHz RFID card, with a reading distance of 1-2cm. High Frequency at 13.56MHz RFID card, with a reading distance of up to 10cm. Ultra-high frequency at 860-960MHz RFID card, with a reading distance of 1-20 meters. Combination of two or even three different frequencies into a single RFID Card.
